Some proverbs offer sage counsel. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Cleanliness is next to godliness. Even a broken watch is right twice a day. Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. These are wise words to live by. But one saying that needs to have its proverbial status revoked is the well-known real estate adage, "WE PAY CASH FOR HOUSES."
Proponents of this marketing strategy contend that cash has some sort of mystical power. This type of voodoo marketing has been offered, exaggerated, and accepted for years. The largest and most reputable title companies in the nation will not accept cash for the purchase of real property. Can you remember any time in your life a buyer walk into a closing with a briefcase of 100 dollar bills, gold bars or bitcoins?
Ask yourself this question ~ do I really need to sell my house in 24? Ask any national title company and the answer will be ~ probably not!
